Did you know you’re eligible for a full refund of your union dues?
With the landmark Janus decision, state and local government employees now have the right to decline to pay dues to their unions.
This important ruling means that many of our friends, co-workers, neighbors, and family are eligible for an average rebate of $800 this year alone! But there’s a problem: they don’t even know they are due this money!
Reform California has partnered with the California Policy Center on a campaign to advise workers of their rights and assist them with processing requests for refunds and rebates of union dues unlawfully deducted from their paychecks.
That’s why we need YOUR help.
We need you to reach out to anyone you know who is a state or local government employee to inform them of this recent change and give them the simple rebate form to sign and return.
As a side benefit: for every dollar we keep in the hands of workers and away from the government union bosses, we help drain the special interest money out of politics that has been used to raise taxes and enact extreme and unfair laws.
Reform California is holding short informational briefings across the state on how you can help with this important outreach effort. You will emerge from these sessions with:
- Talking Points: you will not only learn about why and how the rebates were created but you will be prepared to combat the misinformation that union bosses are spreading to try to coerce or deceive individuals into relinquishing the right to their rebates.
- Support: as you inform individuals of their rights, we can support you and them with a wide-range of services including pro-bono legal representation.
- Rebate Forms: you will be provided with materials that you can distribute to get individuals their rebate forms.
